Dr. Jihad Haddad is a Doctor of Physiotherapy who owns and manages a physical therapy center in Beirut and teaches physiotherapy at a number of universities in Lebanon. He holds a diploma in physical therapy from Paris V Rene Descartes, France, a master’s degree from École de Podologie de Marseille, France, and a doctoral degree from Beirut’s Saint Joseph University. Dr. Haddad serves as Lebanon’s liaison with the West Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization as well as secretary of the Sports Medicine Commission at the Lebanese Olympic Committee. As a strong believer in life-long learning, he continuously seeks to broaden his knowledge for the benefit of his patients and holds certificates and diplomas for a broad range of specialized training programs on topics such as anti-doping, sports therapy, athletic training, respiratory and cardiovascular physiotherapy, podiatry, anti-aging, emergency first aid care and basic life support training. One example is his certification in advanced athletics training from the US Basketball Academy in Oregon, USA. Dr. Haddad is a former board member of the Order of Physiotherapists in Lebanon and the Lebanese Anti-doping Commission, a founding member of the Lebanese Federation for Sports Culture and a medical coordinator at a number of sports associations including the Lebanese Basketball Federation, the Lebanese Athletics Foundation and the Beirut Marathon Association. Also a professional member of the American College of Sports Medicine, he is a frequent speaker at national and international events.
