Michel Labaki is a certified psychologist and music therapist, one of the top 30 bass players in the world, and an entrepreneur. He holds a bachelor’s degree in management from the American University in Technology, Beirut and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon. He received his first certification in music therapy from HUMANITAS University in Rome, Italy, is currently completing the American GIM (guided imagery and music) Bonnie Method at the Appalachian University in North Carolina in the U.S. and is about to enroll in a master’s program in neuropsychology at the Lebanese University. Michel developed a specialized music therapy for substance addiction which he has been successfully implementing at one of Lebanon’s main substance abuse rehabilitation centers, Oum el Nour, since 2015. He is about to launch his own center, where he will offer specialized therapy based on a combination of psychology, music therapy, yoga, and life coaching.
