Sarar Maalouf
Sarar Maalouf is a passionate lecturer in psychology at Haigazian University in Beirut, where she has been teaching for some 30 years now. She previously taught at both the American University of Beirut and Balamand University and has led numerous workshops in Lebanon and the region on topics such as women’s empowerment, stress management, parenting strategies and behavior management. Sarar has spoken on wellness and psychological coping at a number of conferences. She has a strong interest in alternative therapies and believes that working to strengthen our positive characteristics is a far better approach to wellness than lamenting our negative traits. Sarar is an active member of the Faire Face Cancer Association, a Lebanese NGO that works to support cancer patients and their relatives. She holds a master’s degree in psychology from the American University of Beirut.
